🍓 Summer Flavors I'm Baking With This Month

There’s something special about summer flavors. Light, fresh, and a little bit nostalgic—summer baking is where fruity meets fun. At Treats by Trin, I love rotating my menu to match the season, and June is all about sunshine ingredients and feel-good treats.

Here are the flavors I’m loving (and baking!) right now, along with a few sweet surprises you can expect to see on the menu this month:

🍋 Lemon Everything

Lemon is basically the queen of summer baking in my kitchen. Whether it’s lemon sugar cookies, lemon-glazed muffins, or a citrusy cupcake, I can’t get enough of that bright, zingy flavor.

Coming this month: Lemon Crinkle Cookies and a Lemon Blueberry Muffin that might just become your new breakfast fave.

🍓 Strawberry Sweetness

June = peak strawberry season, and I’m taking full advantage! Think soft strawberry cupcakes with whipped cream frosting, or sandwich cookies with strawberry jam centers.

Pro tip: Strawberry pairs so well with vanilla, almond, and white chocolate. You’ll be seeing that in a few upcoming bakes 👀

🍑 A Hint of Peach

Peaches are making their way onto the menu this month in soft, tender sourdough quick breads and seasonal muffins. They’re light, cozy, and perfect for porch-sitting with an iced coffee. (Yes, I romanticize baked goods... guilty.)

🌻 Honey & Lavender

If you’re a fan of floral flavors, you’ll love this summer combo. I’m testing a honey lavender cookie that’s subtle, sweet, and totally unique. It’s like a little bit of summer in every bite.

🥥 Bonus Flavor: Coconut!

I usually save coconut for spring, but it’s sneaking back in this summer with a few tropical twists. Think coconut-lime cookies and maybe even a piña colada cupcake if I’m feeling wild 😉
